Default IP Web Cam

I thought about this too. But the video quality is not good and you won't have audio. But if you can try it let me know. This is what you need to use.

I would appreciate your feedback if it works. I don't have an IP camera yet. Keep this thread going and send us your results please.

How would this program interact with Mogulus then?

Default Streaming from alternate sources will need Mogulus opening the custom source api

You will eventually be able to stream from IP cameras when:
* you have an h264/RTSP camera
* mogulus offers a custom source API (meaning, you can tell mogulus' backend to fetch the stream from RTP/RSTP sources)

However, keep in mind:
* you will have no audio (unless you find an AAC-compatible camera -- highly doubtful at this time)
* you'll have no remote archiving (unless Wowza adds this feature)

I have an IP camera and tried the WebCamXP program, which did not do anything useful. I think (after spending, oh, probaby 20 hours trying all kinds of programs) I'll get a USB camera instead.

Over.

I'm running webcamxp (thanks for the tip!!) for a Canon VB-C60 and the Axis driver for an Axis 223M; 30 FPS using Wirecast/Livestream.

However, Wirecast uses FME, so if you don't have Wirecast, I would get the IP cam running in webcamxp, shut down webcamxp, then fire up FME & it should see the IP cam.

Red face Axis 207W - IP CAM

thanks DEALERWORLD!

A clue in the right direction, anyway. I also have the Axis 207W.

Question: Is it possible to get this to work with livestream.com?

...or do I need to buy hosting for Flash Media Straming somewhere or get my own Flash Media Streaming Server software on my own server?

Thanks in advance!

If you can stream the IP webcam to any web page, then with Wirecast and Desktop Presenter you can pick it up and incorporate it into the shot.
