worsening of service
this use to be a good service, until management decided to:
- reduce the size of uploads to maximum 10 GB
- start deleting videos which are not viewed 'enough' according to some doubtful criteria.
there was no warning whatsoever at registration of a channel that such drastic measures will be imposed on users.
i've spent long, long time to identify videos fitting with the profile of my channel, and upload them, cluster them, on categories, serious involvement, you understand ...
all that is lost!!! the treatment of users by the management is unjustified and abuse of peoples time. what is left from the channel is actually nothing!!! if i would start from scratch and try to build a channel similar with what is looks today i could do it in few hours maximum. however, when i built my channel some two years ago it entailed months of work ...
since things have worsened so much i stopped investing any time in it and i don't see a value in such service, unless one does TV like work and does lots of live streaming.
what a shame! and shame on those deciding to abuse users time and dedication!
I am sorry to hear of your displeasure with Livestream. Right now the 10GB limit is in place to help keep our service free. Regarding our storage cleanup, only video clips that were created 6 months ago and have been viewed less than 10 times in the past 6 months are marked for deletion, however users can keep their clips by simply using our Storage Cleanup Wizard. This process helps us keep costs down while remaining environmentally friendly. If you'd like to learn more about the process, it is fully explained in our userguide:

large volume of videos deleted
could you please explain hoe come that from over 600 videos that i uploaded in various categories there are now a handful only available and everything else was deleted?
My channel is almost empty!!! what objective criteria can justify that?
what criteria can justify such unjust decision, not to mention disrespectful to user. i've spent serious time to upload these videos and cluster them on specific categories. you can imagine that if your conditions and criteria were transparent enough and fair from the onset of registration process no user would invest so much effort knowing that his /her work is going to be trashed as you did.
i demand a rational explanation please.
Multiple emails were sent out to all of our users before putting this process into place. Below is an explanation of the process and criteria:
Every month well find your neglected videos (older than 6 months & viewed fewer than 10 times within the past 6 months).
If we find anything marked for deletion, we'll notify you ahead of time on livestream.com and via email.
To save/download videos just follow the link to the cleanup wizard.
You can choose to keep any/all of your videos.
This applies to video clips - not the storyboards which contain them.
