...it would be nice to find some short announcement somewhere, eg. here at user forums at some special place.

Like this evening (it is evening/night here in Finland now) there seems to be real problems at server side - http://www.livestream.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10661 - and it could give kind of relief if I knew Livestream knows the situation and is doing something to get things back OK.
