Broadcasting Requirements
Hi all!
I'm currently broadcasting using a Blackmagic Intensity Extreme to a Thunderbolt equipped iMac. Specs are 2.5 Ghz i5 Quad Core, 4 GB of Ram, HD Radeon 6750M 512 MB, Livestream For Producers (newest version, 0.0.54M) and yet I can't seem to broadcast above Medium + Mobile Quality. High or HD sends the processor through the roof within seconds. Medium though, only seems to run at about 27-28%. Is there some way to find a middle ground (and keep the mobile stream) to up the quality? Or is there something in my chain that throws the processor out of whack? Input is 1080i, btw, from a Blackmagic ATEM switcher. Thanks for any help! Ben |
Hey Ben,
I followed up to your open support ticket. Basically, we need to have a look at the specifics of your i5 CPU to get a better idea of what your rig is capable of, and I also included some suggestions such as assuring all programs unrelated to your broadcast have been closed to free additional resources. |
