The Smashing Pumpkins, The Flaming Lips, The Black Keys, The National, and Spiritualized will headline each night of a five-night concert series to celebrate 25 years of SPIN Magazine. These five shows will combine for a total of 25 hours of amazing live music and will be streamed live on Livestream, on SPIN.com  and on the presenting sponsor’s Facebook page, ZYNC from American Express. The first four concerts will be broadcast live from The Bowery Presents venue Terminal 5, while Spiritualized will perform at Radio City Music Hall on Friday July 30.

The feed, provided by Livestream and made possible by ZYNC from American Express, will only be made available to fans who have “liked” the ZYNC Card on Facebook. Fans will be able to interact during the live stream through Facebook and Twitter.

When the HullabaLOU Music Festival was announced last November at Churchill Downs, the three-day event seemed to come out of nowhere. Bill Gates, Founder of Microsoft and Co-Chair of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, spoke on Thursday October 15 at the “World Food Prize Symposium” in Des Moines Iowa.  The event was broadcast in it’s entirety by Gannett publication the Des Moines Register.

The World Food Prize is an award dedicated to the memory of Dr. Norman Borlaug, a scientist who pioneered many innovations in farming that are estimated to have saved over a Billion lives.  He was the recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize, the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the Congressional Gold Medal, making him one of only 6 people to have done so.

This morning, Friday October 9, the NASA LCROSS spacecraft impacted with the moon at 7:30am ET / 4:30am PT.  NASA will be hosting a follow-up press conference at 10am ET / 7am PT discussing the landing, and the intentions of the trip.

The LCROSS rocket was sent to the Moon in order to search for water, and landed this morning one of the Moon’s craters.  Livestream Partners Spaceflight Now will be broadcasting the entire press conference, which you can tune into on their official channel page at 10am ET.

Thursday October 8 at 4pm ET the Embassy of Finland will host the Science and Technology Symposium, featuring Millennium Technology Prize laureates discussing “Next Decade Technologies Changing the World.”  The entire event will be live on the Academy’s custom Livestream channel page.
