Air Mozilla, the Mogulus channel of the Mozilla corporation did a Marathon broadcast of the 24 hours after the release of Firefox 3. The goal was to break the Guinness World Record for “Most Software Downloads in 24 hours”. A bumpy start and some smoking servers later, Firefox 3 had more than 8 million downloads in the first 24 hours. The people of Guinness are reviewing the World Record attempt but it looks like Firefox 3 made it!!!
