Barack Obama gave his first post-election news conference today. TV Networks WUSA 9 and Kare 11 broadcast the event online, live from Chicago, drawing an audience of more than 8000 simultaneous viewers.

WUSA 9′ s Mogulus channel 9newsnow was also embeded on USA Today’s On Politics blog.

Major news networks have broadcast tonight the 2008 US Presidential Election with Mogulus. Established publications, TV Networks, and other top news sources have provided viewers with premium election coverage, some for more than 10 hours today.

This has been a historic event, and a premiere for many news institutions which have recently integrated online broadcasting to their editorial/coverage strategy. Mogulus has reached unprecedented diversity of broadcasts covering the same event, with an simultaneous audience peaking at 87,178, and we’re proud to have been the first choice for these professional journalists and reporters.

“Big Media” chooses Mogulus to stream US Election VP Debate

CSPAN, WUSA9, USA TODAY, KARE 11, NECN and Hawaian TV network KGMB9 used Mogulus to broadcast their official live stream of the Vice President debate on their web site. Some retransmitted the official feed while others such as CSPAN had behind the scene cameras broadcasting from the debate press room.

On the other side of the border, Canadians were watching their own Presidential debate on Ontario Global New’s decision2008 Mogulus channel.

9/11 Memorial Ceremony Live on Mogulus

The 9/11 Memorial Ceremony at the Pentagon was broadcast live this morning on WUSA9‘s Mogulus channel, 9newsnow.

Thousands of viewers watched the channel, which was embedded on several websites including DesMoinesRegister.com, and USA Today’s “On Deadline” blog.

Several Gannett properties are covering the Hurricanes with Mogulus. We decided therefore to create a special grid, with 6 live channels, that could be embeded anywhere and would give the most complete coverage possible to viewers.
