NYFA/NBC Broadcast Journalism Course Select Mogulus To Prepare Students For 21st Century Journalism
Students from NYFA’s broadcast journalism program attended a special training course on online broadcasting at Mogulus Offices in NY. Sponsored by NBC, the program aims at training journalists at digital media.
Taking part in this venture and introducing the students to cutting edge broadcasting technology was an exciting experience for Mogulus!

Marian Porges, Senior Producer at NBC News and Chair of the Broadcast Journalism Department at NYFA initiated the venture, as part of the Broadcast Journalism Program’s curriculum.

Major news networks have broadcast tonight the 2008 US Presidential Election with Mogulus. Established publications, TV Networks, and other top news sources have provided viewers with premium election coverage, some for more than 10 hours today.
This has been a historic event, and a premiere for many news institutions which have recently integrated online broadcasting to their editorial/coverage strategy. The World Economic Forum will be broadcasting live its press conferences on Europe and Central Asia 2008 from Istanbul, Turkey, tomorrow morning.
At 10:30am local time (04:30am ET), President of the EBRD (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development) Thomas Mirow will hold a press briefing with Mehmet Simsek, Minister of State of the Republic of Turkey, during which the EBRD’s investment priorities for Turkey will be outlined.
At 11:00am local time (05:00am ET) Klaus Schwab, Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum and the co-chairs reflect on the theme of the first World Economic Forum on Europe and Central Asia.
This is the second time the WEF team is using Mogulus. In September 08, the press conferences for the Annual Meeting of the New Champions were broadcasted from Tianjin, China.

“Zack and Miri make a porno” Red Carpet Premiere, Live Tonight On Mogulus And hollywoodpremieres.com
Premiere Entertainment Network will be broadcasting the Red Carpet Premiere of The Weinstein Company’s
“Zack&Miri Make A Porno“, live from Los Angeles. Featuring Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks, the movie will be released on October 31, 2008.
The cast and filmmakers will be interviewed by the PEN team as they enter the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. Tune in to their Mogulus channel hollywoodpremieres or go to www.hollywoodpremieres.com tonight from 9.45 PM (EST) on to watch and chat, as it happens.
Known as ” The Olympics of Surfing”, the ISA World Surfing Games are being broadcast from Costa de Caparica, in Portugal. More than 300 surfers from 29 different countries have been in the water and on Mogulus for the last 6 days, and will remain live and wet for another 2 days.

CSPAN, WUSA9, USA TODAY, KARE 11, NECN and Hawaian TV network KGMB9 used Mogulus to broadcast their official live stream of the Vice President debate on their web site.
