It was a night to remember at Highline Ballroom in New York city last night, as We The Kings played a sold out concert at the venue. The band sang to a capacity crowd who were “ready to party” as lead singer Travis Clark had commented as he spoke to the crowd. Interspersed between between hit songs like “Heaven Can Wait” and “Check Yes Juliet”, Clark told silly stories and anecdotes to keep the audience of mostly teen girls in stitches all night. Clark and company also had a few surprises in store, which included a special cover of Jimmy Eat World‘s “The Middle” and bringing on stage special guest and personal friend Diane Birch to sing the duet “We’ll Be A Dream”, which they recorded for their second album Smile Kid with popstar Demi Lovato.

The concert was also available on Facebook and was featured on the Celebs on Facebook page. You can catch the highlights below on YouTube, check out some of our screenshots, and even watch the whole set in its entirety in the replay on Livestream.

Alternative pop-rock quartet We The Kings and S-Curve Records have partnered with Livestream to broadcast the band’s set from their sold out show at the Highline Ballroom in New York City on Monday, February 8 at 9:30 PM ET.
We The Kings’ sophomore album, “Smile Kid”, was released in December 2009. They have sold over 2 million tracks, had over 56 million plays on MySpace and 15 million YouTube video plays including the #1 most played music video. They were one of four bands selected by MySpace for the recent launch of the social networking site’s new music program, “Introducing…” designed to spur the discovery of new artists.
The Bradenton, Florida based band includes Travis Clark (vocals/guitar), Hunter Thomsen (guitar, backing vocals), Drew Thomsen (bass) and Danny Duncan (drums.) After several national tours with bands such as Boys Like Girls, All Time Low, and Cobra Starship, We The Kings have secured themselves as one of the most original bands in the pop-rock circuit, with a fervent, dedicated fan base. The guys are currently headlining the Take Action Tour, an annual nationwide charity tour that raises funds and awareness for youth involvement in charitable action.
