Created to provide Live Coverage of all major 2009 inaugural events, C-SPAN’s Inauguration Hub launched on Saturday, January 17th. The first broadcast featured President and Vice President-elects Barack Obama and Joe Biden in Philadelphia.
C-SPAN will cover all event stops on their way to Washington, DC via train, and continuing through Inauguration Day as well as all major events around Washington and DC.
SCHEDULE
Monday, January 19th: Archival Speeches from Past Presidential Inaugurations
Tuesday, January 20th: LIVE coverage throughout the day of the events surrounding the inauguration of the next President of the United States. Coverage starts with the Washington Journal at a special time of 6:00 am ET, and continues all day until 12:00 AM, including:
*The departure of President Bush from the White House;
*Gavel-to-gavel coverage of the Inaugural Ceremony on the West Front of the U.S. Capitol;
*The Congressional luncheon for the new President;
*The Inaugural Parade along Pennsylvania Avenue from the Capitol to the White House, and
*The Inaugural Balls.
