You can now use Adobe Visual Communicator to stream directly to Mogulus. Visual Communicator allows you to create customizable graphics, switch between multiple cameras and offers the ability to insert music clips, transitions and special effects into your broadcasts.
To set it up, simply download Visual Communicator from Adobe, and configure the streaming settings to include the Mogulus Media Server URL. Complete instructions are available over in the Mogulus Userguide. Enjoy, and let us know how it works for you!

February 24th, 2009 11:12 amThe last thing I want to do is spend $300 dollars, but it is worth it. Plan on a good 3 days playing with it, but it does everything and punches up a broadcast. It isn’t a video editing program, although it is sort of. It is presentation software. Takes a while to wrap your head around it. And who doesn’t want better presentation.
This is a perfect add on for Mogulus users live users. Thank you Mog for bringing it to our attention. My system is an average dual core 1.8 mhz system with three mgs of memory running under Vista and it works perfectly.
The learning curve is moderate, what takes a few days is working with all the features this program offers. Do the 30 day free trial, it is a full running program and give it a try.
The green screen function: hint: print out the example color, have your hardware store match the paint. Use a board 6 feet by a good 4 feet and place it a couple feet behind your position……works better than any green screen software I have ever used. You will have to play with it a bit, ie lighting etc, but the software is so good it is quite forgiving and delivers great results. This feature gives anyone the ability to broadcast from a profesional digital looking set.
Streaming works fine with better quality than normal. Gave me fits setting it to work right, but that is just because it is so custom. A good thing in the end.
The on-air title editor is quite good, sort of a mini Adobe Photoshop and all you really need for inclusion of professional on the fly graphics.
Adobe spent some time talking to people like us when creating this software. Easy to use after the initial learning curve and it isn’t overloaded with features you would never use and just get in the way.
The teleprompter is great and you will use it…..alot….for pre-recording editorial type items.
Been playing with this all week and going to switch to it completely first of the week….Good job Adobe…..good job Mogulus.

May 5th, 2009 8:04 pmI have used Viual Communicator since the Serious Magic days of ownership (pre Adobe) and this is by far the greatest piece of software I have ever used for presentation. I am an online instructor and I use this almost daily in my class preperation and it never lets me down! HOWEVER this new marriage with Mogulus…….how great is that!!! Thank you!! Thank you!!! And the hint about the board and paint………makes you want to slap your forehead and say “Why didn’t I think of that?” Many thanks I thought I had this thing down pat and it shows you can always learn a new trick or two!
