Tori Amos performed a concert and answered fan’s questions on Facebook and Twitter live on Friday, December 11 at 3 pm (ET) via Livestream.
Over 20,000 fans tuned into the popular recording artist’s event, as Amos spun out classics from her past albums as well as songs from her new album, Midwinter Graces for well over an hour. After the riveting concert, where at various points Amos played simultaneously on two pianos, she also took the time to answer fan’s questions live from the Facebook chat.
The concert and Q&A was in part to promote new album, Midwinter Graces, which was released on November 10th. The album marks her first seasonal collection, which is not all too surprising as Amos grew up playing holiday carols at Sunday services and Christmas Day celebrations in church.

Jared Leto and 30 Seconds to Mars hosted an exclusive Q&A Wednesday evening live from Los Angeles, promoting their latest album “This is War,” which was released on December 8th. The session was streamed live on Facebook.com/ThirtySecondsToMars, Livestream.com/ThirtySecondsToMars and the iPhone.
Various radio stations from Los Angeles, Florida, Seattle, all Skyped in to ask the band questions, and K-ROCK‘s listeners had exclusive Q&A privileges. The band also interacted with fans asking questions via Twitter and Facebook live.
In addition to the main event, on Tuesday night, the band had a special “VIP” discussion for the fans who pre-ordered their new album. Those who pre-ordered the album were given a special code, giving them access to the Thirty Seconds to Mar’s VIP page. The VIP provided fans with an exclusive and personal chat with the band for more than an hour.

Boxee, the Internet/computer-to-television connection tool, successfully streamed their live Beta unveiling on Livestream on Monday, December 7th.
Boxee Box, its first hardware device, is a free, open source software program that runs on just about any computer that’s connected to the Internet and a screen.
It will also make life easier for users, enabling people to quickly find the entertainment they want, and display it in a more organized layout.
Major new features include:

NEW YORK (Dec. 7, 2009) — Rock music giant Thirty Seconds to Mars and Virgin Records have chosen Livestream to broadcast an exclusive live Q&A with the band in support of their new album, This is War on Wednesday, Dec. 9, at 5 p.m. PST/8 p.m. EST.
This is War is the follow-up to their multi-platinum second album, A Beautiful Lie, and is set for release on Dec. 8. The album’s first single “Kings & Queens” soared to the top of the alternative radio charts where it is currently #3 and was lauded by Billboard Magazine, which proclaimed: “Kings & Queens” is epic rock at its most affecting.”
During the broadcast, the band will answer questions from a host as well as fans who have submitted questions to their local radio stations.
