Motorola, Moto Blur, and Cincinnati Bengals star wide receiver Chad “Esteban” Ocho Cinco delivered a special announcement today on Livestream.
The announcement was for the Ocho Cinco News Network, the brainchild of Ocho Cinco and his partners at Motorola. Powered by Moto Blur, Ocho Cinco was transformed into a one-man social news network in 2009. OCNN brings fans all the news they need from on and off the field, from the most exciting mind in the NFL.
This announcement was a special rookie draft pick for a new OCNN correspondent. As Ocho Cinco will not be able to cover the upcoming NFL Draft due to his engagement with Dancing With The Stars, he has named Oklahoma defensive tackle Gerald McCoy to be his eyes and ears at the event.
After tweeting live from the event the announcement and showing the tweet to a live audience jam-packed with press, Ocho Cinco called McCoy up to the stage for a traditional jacket and hat ceremony. Afterwards, McCoy described the experience as “unbelievable”, thanked Motorola and Ocho Cinco and added that he will have “a permanent smile on his face” for some time. See the photos below for coverage of the event.

Fans can follow award-winning AP sports reporting on the return of Tiger Woods
NEW YORK – Beginning Monday, April 5 at 2 p.m. ET with the scheduled Tiger Woods press conference and daily live Webcasts at 5:30 p.m. ET, The Associated Press will provide sports analysis of the Masters Golf Tournament through the AP Live multimedia platform powered by Livestream. Following last month’s successful launch of the AP Live “Oscars Red Carpet” coverage, the newly launched embeddable video widget (see below for examples) features live feeds, social media elements, on-demand clips, rich photos and news of major events.
A team of AP reporters, including AP Golf Writer Doug Ferguson and National Sports Columnist Jim Litke, will report from the Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, GA, and throughout the competition.
The AP Live coverage — dubbed “Tiger, The Return” — will deliver breaking news, scores, daily sports analysis, and special online video features such as one-to-one interviews with top golfers.
The AP-hosted and ad-supported platform, AP Live, is distributed on www.livestream.com/aplive, Facebook.com/aplive, and is available for syndication to AP member news sites and other distribution channels.
“The AP Live platform is an ideal means for distributing AP’s high quality journalism, and makes it easy for our members and other publishers to offer their end-users comprehensive and immediate coverage,” said Nick Ascheim, general manager of AP Digital with responsibility for its new strategic business unit, AP Gateway. “This offering is a continuation of our effort to create innovative news consumption experiences across multiple formats, devices and media.”
“The demand for real-time news coverage can be daunting, and AP Live is a nimble solution that gives publishers rapid-response reporting and multimedia coverage while also offering them an opportunity for incremental advertising revenue,” said AP Global Director of Sports Products Michael Lutzky. “We are pleased to be working with Livestream again to extend our success with the AP Live Oscars package into sports, particularly for a story that is generating so much international interest.”
AP Live “Oscars Red Carpet” coverage of the 82nd Annual Academy Awards drew more than 2 million streams.
AP reporters will also post updates to the interactive chats via Twitter and Facebook, viewable on AP Live. After the Masters, AP Live will continue to feature daily and weekly sports interviews and packaged content.
